The Conservative Party of Canada needs more Red Tory Francophone MP'sfrom Quebec such asJean-Pierre Blackburn, Josée Verner, and Lawrence Cannon; and lessAmerican Republican-styleBlue Tory Anglophone MP's from Redneck Alberta such as Stockwell Day,Rob Anders, andStephen Harper. It's noteworthy that Quebec Tories care about therights of workers and unionsbefore the rights of greedy corporations whereas Alberta Tories careabout the rights of greedycorporations before the rights of workers and unions. Its the European-style corporatist capitalistmodel of fiscal conservatism coupled with social responsibility andenvironmental awareness anda sense of collective determination of society regardless of incomeversus the Anglo-Americanlaissez-faire capitalist model of unfettered greed, socialirresponsibility, environmental degradationin favor of massive profits, and rabid individuality. It's alsonoteworthy that Quebec Conservativestend to be more pro-European and pro-Arab with a healthy respect forcooperation andmultilateralism in foreign policy; whereas Alberta Conservative tendto be more pro-Americanand pro-Israel with an unhealthy respect for unilateral American-styleredneck cowboy"nuke 'em all" mentality in foreign policy.I personally believe the origins of this divide have their roots inethnicity, history, and religion.Its the European Latin Roman Catholic Christian ideals of healthycollectivism versus theBritish Anglo Evangelical Protestant Christian ideals of unhealthyrabid individuality.
